Это, возможно, самая личная картина Пьера Бийона; режиссер в ней следует своей природной склонности к очень мрачному психологическому повествованию, также заметной в Человеке в круглой шляпе, L'Homme au chapeau rond и Крохотной Агнессе, Agnès de rien, 1949 – фильме, очень характерном для этого режиссера, хотя и менее удачном.В просмотренной нами копии Шери не указаны имена сценаристов.
